Official!

Finally, I think we've been able to get all the wrinkles out...made room for audio, video and pic files...got my blocks done, contest is a go...all is well! Woohoo! Well, we definitely need to celebrate. Let's have a book giveaway! The first person to write a comment on this blogsite will win a free autographed copy of "The Questory of Root Karbunkulus" AND...it doesn't end there....a tres cool Valador dogtag....wait...I'm gonna take a picture of the dogtag and see if I can upload it here....could take awhile..but the good thing is you won't even know...okay so hang on a sec... Okay, I'm back and voila! There it is...my freshly taken and uploaded pic...modelled by the lovely Tylar McKoen! These dogtags are no ordinary dogtags! Not only do they sport the beautiful Valador, the backs are etched with the rootkarbunkulus website! Quite nifty!

Alrighty then, let's get to some of those emails. Here is one of the first questions I get asked in emails and at readings: "How long did it take you to write 'Root'?" Well, first of all I had to figure out all six books, the plots, subplots, arcs etc and when I got that all organized on wads of paper with ink, pencil and highllighter pen all over the place, I was able to sit down and begin "Miist".

I did most of my writing at 5am but this easily slipped into 4:30am and then 4am toward the end. It took me about 3 and a half months to finish the first draft. I think it was April 3rd or 4th, right before my birthday. I wrote it on a piece of paper somewhere but good luck trying find that...:) After that, my savings had run out and I returned to the theatre, which took some time away. About eight months later I had the final copy in my hot little hands. So, there you have it. I hope that sheds light on the writing process, which is more rewriting than people realize. Well, I hope to hear from y'all soon! With joy, K

Oh, wait! Before I forget. You can check out great pics from events and such festivities in the gallery. I put up the winners of the Name Fame contest there, which was such an awesome success that we are doing another one...but it will only have one winner this time! Ooooooo....aaaaaaahhhh.... 'kay, bye!
