Movie Deal?

I often get asked if I am going to make "Root Karbunkulus" into a movie. I can understand why, of course as the question usually comes after viewing the book trailer and also because of my background in film and theatre. But, while I have to admit that a movie version of my book would be truly amazing, I am not the one to do it :)

I am definitely proud of the trailer especially since it was shot for under a hundred bucks. I had wrangled my sister and her kids into some scenes and Stogie (the pooch on the left) gave us the rabid dog close up despite his 15 pounds soaking wet. I won't detail how we did the big fire scene other than to say it was a complete fluke and had Rob known what I was up to, he'd've nixed it for sure!

It was great fun no doubt, but as to a full blown movie, I will have to commit that into the hands of the Celstars...or Spielberg...or both...:)

Just for fun, though, if it did ever happen to find its way to the silver screen....the part of Auntie Octavia would be a blast to play....hmmmm....maybe I could start working on my lip slapping horse laugh now...

I am off to Las Vegas to the cheese of Barry Manilow and the raunch of Bette Midler. When I get back we can talk about the writing process as this is also a question that comes up frequently.

With joy,

K

What an interesting way to get people interested in reading! Book trailers are like movie trailers, but for books! You can find them all over the internet now, but here is a site that's featuring them on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/booktrailers

The first thing I thought of when I read "The Questory" was that it would make an awesome movie. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
