In the meantime...

I have been getting so many questions about the second book and all I can say is it won't be much longer (fingers crossed). I know exactly how you feel. I can't wait another moment either! More than anything I would love to get the next part of Root's story into your hands. It's so very exciting! But, alas we shall have to wait a while longer. Just a little..promise :)

So, what do I do in the meantime? Well, as you may know I am very involved in theatre and in between writing "The Questory" I am happily working on my new musical, "Hyaline". The poets of old often referred to the sea as Hyaline (smooth like glass) and there are ancient mythic references to the Hyaline gods of the sea. When I first began writing it, it was a lighthearted musical comedy. But as I've spent more time with it, it has become something much more meaningful as it delves deeper into the story and its characters.

Anyway, here's a glimpse of it...two songs. One is called "Pull Up a Chair". It is the first time we meet Henriettta, the fiesty mistress of a local tavern. The second one is called "By the Gods". It is a moment in the lives of Willem and Katherine, when they realize how much they mean to each other...perhaps too late.

You should be able to hear them just by clicking on the links here. If not, then just cut and paste the address in your browser.

I hope you enjoy!

Best,

Kamilla
