Top o' the Mornin' to ya!

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Being a holiday reveler of sorts, Madam Mordgidika Keen would be head to toe in the green stuff today. Of course, Gruel has always been partial to verdigris...

Yesterday, with Tylar at Rob's, I wrote for 14 hours, pausing, just barely to stuff the leg of a pre-cooked chicken into my chops and move on. It was a day of Organization. I'd been wanting to reimmerse myself in the overall story to ensure I hadn't missed any necessary details for book 2. This meant scanning all 6 books for plot seeds or any information to save for later books. It was quite the undertaking but well worth it. It made the writing much smoother as I now had the premise so clear in my mind again.

So, my usual process, 5am mornings to write before Ty gets up, has been thoroughly shaken by Daylight Savings. I wouldn't have believed it and indeed, have often argued against my mum's anti-daylight savings rants, but I just can not seem to get up! I was just getting used to waking with the sun when all of a sudden it's black again when my alarm goes off. My body is completely rebeling. I am not liking this, especially as it's been forced upon us a month earlier than usual. Why can't we just keep one time? What is the point of screwing up our circadian rhythms like this?

Inhale, exhale....okay, it's over. And now back to Book 2, of which I am getting quite excited as it delves into darker territory and rivalry steams up. Juicy, juicy fun!

I know it's kinda late but if anyone has any cool green recipes for St. Paddy's, I would be ever so grateful :)

Hi Ms. Reid! my mom used to put green color in our milk and that was cool. I have a question, do you write everyday? or weekends off? I can't imagine getting up so early every day!

Hi Terry!

I made Tylar a green float, with vanilla icecream and green colored Sprite and called it Leprechaun's Fizz. She liked the fizziness and sort of scooped the icecream out but that was about it. She seemed to like the green mashed potatoes better :)

Yes, I try to write every day. It's too easy to get out of synch when I skip one!

Thanks for writing!

Here is a great recipe for clover shaped pretzels. I haven't done it yet but I think my kids would dig it so I'll give it a whirl!

Hi there!

I made them and they were fantastic! Thank you so much! I put green sugar sprinkles on some of them and dusted basil for those of us with less of a sweet tooth. Everyone loved them!
